Jump within a Map - Anchors and Viewports

The easiest way to define anchors and viewports and thereby create jumps within a map is described here. Since the distance between an anchor and the viewport can be quite far, the previously described drag & drop mechanism can be difficult. The alternative method is to give viewports a name and then manually create a jump command and select the 'named viewport' in the command dialog box.
Let us see how that works:

Naming viewports

  1. Select the viewport and go to the property pane.
  2. In the General section click on the pen.
  3. Type the name into the box
  4. Press ENTER

Defining the Jump Command to the Named Viewport

  1. Select the anchor object
  2. In the Properties pane go to Commands
  3. Select the + to add a new command.
  4. Define ITEM: Symbol or Icon
  5. Define TRIGGER: How to click
  6. Define ACTION: JUMP
  7. Define the Target: ANCHOR
  8. Select a map (by default the current map is selected).
  9. Choose one of the named viewports. (Note: viewports which do not have a name are called viewport.
