Templates

Process maps can be used as any other template in M-Files:

1. Simply create a map within the M-Files Create Menu.
2. Select and activate the is template property on the metadata card of the Process Map Object (if you cannot select this option, contact your M-Files Administrator).
3. These templates are now available for new process maps in the New - Process Map dialog.

Process map templates can contain various predefined contents:

• Header with headline and logo
• Your own symbols and icons
• Metadata properties
• Predefined shapes and colors
• Traffic light or priority displays
• Text areas incl. formatting

It is also possible to use representations for multiple processes and easily exchange the underlying M-Files process objects:

• Process overviews
• Departments
• Teams
